The amount of money spent on five consumer goods (cars, computers, books, perfume and cameras) in France and the UK in 2010.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information shown below.

The bar graph reveals the information about the amount of money spent on five consumer goods(car, computer,books,perfume,cameras) in France and UK in 2010. Data has been calibrated in pounds sterling.

Turning into details, in terms of cars, people in the UK spent about 4,50,000 pounds on this as opposed to the French who spent 4,00,000 pounds. Similarly, the British spent more money on books than the French around 4,00,000 pounds and 3,00,000 pounds respectively. In the UK, expenditure on cameras (just over 3,00,000 pounds) was doubled that of France which was only 1,50,000 pounds.

Probing into deeper details, the amount spent on remaining goods were higher in France. Above 3,50,000 pounds was spent by the French on the computers which was slightly more than the British who spent exactly 3,50,000 pounds. Neither of the countries spent much on perfume which accounted for 2,00,000 pounds of expenditure in France, but under 1,50,000 pounds in the UK.

Overall, it can be seen that UK spent more money on consumer goods than France in the given period of time.
