Difference between IELTS and PTE

*The full form of IELTS is International English Language Testing System is conducted by the British Council, IDP and Cambridge Assessment English. It was established in 1980 and it become operational in 1989 for the non-native English speakers. However,PTE defines as Pearson Test of English is launched in 2009.

*Candidates can give IELTS exam,both Computer-Based or Pen Paper Based.Although, PTE exam is only based on computer.

*The exam structure for IELTS is not so complex, but PTE exam is quite complex because mixture of Speaking with Writing,Listening with writing even reading.

*IELTS is valid almost in all universities and colleges across the globe. However, PTE is mainly valid in New Zealand and Australia.

*IELTS score bands are ranging from 0 to 9. Whereas, PTE has points system from 0 to 90.
