Cacao production in Asia also increased significantly from 1,19,000 tons in 1992 to 4,36,000 tons in 1998 which was the highest figure for that year. North and Central America followed fluctuating trend from 1992 to 1998.

Probing into deeper details, in Oceania, cacao production almost doubled from 40,000 tons in 1992 to 76,890 tons in 1998. In Africa, cacao production trebled from 1992 at 29,000 to 1996 at 1,19,000. However, in 1998, it fell drastically and reached an all time low of 25,000 tons. In England, the production hovered between 43,000 and 67,000 tons over the given period.
